177: Support desk 30 Jan to 3rd Feb (this week)

The support desk will be manned by Colin Jenkins all this week to allow Colin Horne to get on with your L&L document changes needed for the latest release; unfortunately these are turning out to be more time-consumimg than originally thought.

When version 21.3.1 of Match-IT is released (no date set yet) it will incorporate the latest version of the List-&-Label reporting tool. This provides much more control over how your documents are laid out. For example, you can specify the order the sections are printed in and the order of the lines within each section. This is most useful for the works order, for example you will be able to specify that the kit list be printed after the operations. Also, you will be able to print the sections more than once, for example, the kit list in location order and again in batch number order.
That?s the advantage of the new version. The disadvantage is that some of your existing paper designs will need to be modified. We think the benefits outweigh this one-time inconvenience.
The documents affected are the CofC, the dispatch note, the purchase order and the works order. It?ll only affect you if you have modified the standard versions. If you have, we can upgrade them appropriately for you when the new system is released. You'll need to email your designs to us, we'll modify them and email them back to you.
